1. Australian Consumer Law

This voluntary warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies available to the customer under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this Warranty Statement is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified under Australian Consumer Law.

2. Warranty Coverage

Subject to the conditions and exclusions in this Warranty Statement, OPTiX Nano Technologies warrants that OPTiX OP-GQP ceramic coating will remain present on the correctly prepared and coated exterior painted surfaces of the registered vehicle for up to 5 years from the application date.

This warranty applies only to OPTiX OP-GQP ceramic coating that has been applied by an authorised OPTiX installer and registered through the OPTiX warranty registration system.

This warranty does not apply to unregistered applications, unauthorised applications, incorrectly registered vehicles, or products not confirmed by OPTiX Nano Technologies as eligible for this warranty.

3. Warranty Remedy

Where OPTiX Nano Technologies accepts a valid claim under this voluntary warranty, the remedy under this warranty is limited to the supply of replacement OPTiX OP-GQP Ceramic Coating product reasonably required to re-treat the affected coated area.

Unless required by Australian Consumer Law, this voluntary warranty does not include labour, surface preparation, polishing, paint correction, detailing, inspection costs, travel, freight, vehicle hire, loss of use, loss of income, removal and refitting of parts, or any other associated or consequential cost.

Nothing in this Warranty Statement is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified under Australian Consumer Law.

4. Warranty Conditions

To maintain warranty eligibility, the vehicle owner must take reasonable care of the coated surfaces.

The vehicle must be washed and maintained using safe hand-washing methods and suitable automotive maintenance products. OPTiX recommends the use of OPTiX-approved shampoo and OPTiX Final Boost as part of ongoing maintenance.

The coated surface must not be polished, compounded, machine buffed, sanded, aggressively clay-barred, chemically stripped, or treated with abrasive or harsh cleaning products unless approved in writing by OPTiX Nano Technologies.

The vehicle owner must retain reasonable maintenance records if making a warranty claim. These may include invoices, written maintenance notes, photos, inspection records, or records from an authorised OPTiX installer.

5. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage, defects, marks, or coating reduction caused by or related to:

scratches, swirl marks, wash marring, stone chips, impact damage, dents, scuffs, abrasion, sanding marks, polishing marks, machine buffing, poor washing methods, automatic brush washing, harsh chemical use, acid or alkaline cleaners, traffic film removers, bug removers, wheel cleaners used on paintwork, bird dropping etching, bug etching, water spotting, mineral staining, bore water staining, chemical staining, tree sap, acid rain, industrial fallout, rail dust, overspray, oxidation, clear coat failure, peeling clear coat, paint delamination, previous paint repairs, poor repaint quality, panel shop work, accident damage, fire, flood, storm damage, neglect, misuse, lack of maintenance, or normal wear and tear.

This warranty does not warrant that the vehicle will remain scratch-free, swirl-free, stain-free, water-spot-free, mark-free, maintenance-free, permanently glossy, permanently slick, permanently hydrophobic, or permanently easy to clean.

OP-GQP ceramic coating is not paint protection film and is not a physical barrier against stone chips, scratches, dents, abrasion, or impact damage.

6. Environmental and Use Limitations

Vehicle use, storage, washing habits, weather exposure, environmental contamination, and maintenance all affect coating performance.

Vehicles used daily, stored outdoors, exposed to harsh conditions, used for work, commercial use, 4WD use, towing, coastal driving, mine-site work, industrial areas, bore water, heavy road grime, coastal environments, tree sap, bird droppings, bug splatter, or irregular washing may experience reduced surface performance, contamination build-up, water spotting, staining, wash marks, or general wear over time.

These conditions do not automatically mean the coating product has failed.

7. Authorised Installer Requirement

This warranty is only valid when OPTiX OP-GQP is applied by an authorised OPTiX installer.

Any polishing, correction, decontamination, coating, repainting, panel repair, PPF removal, wrapping, or other surface work performed by a non-authorised person or business may void warranty coverage for the affected area.

No installer, dealer, reseller, employee, contractor, agent, or third party is authorised to change, extend, or override this Warranty Statement unless OPTiX Nano Technologies confirms the change in writing.

8. Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim, the vehicle owner must contact OPTiX Nano Technologies or the original authorised OPTiX installer.

The claim must include:

warranty serial number,
vehicle owner name,
vehicle VIN,
application date,
authorised installer name,
photos of the affected area,
description of the issue,
maintenance history, and
any relevant invoices or records.

OPTiX Nano Technologies may require the vehicle to be inspected by OPTiX, the original authorised installer, or another approved representative before accepting or rejecting a claim.

Claims may be rejected if the vehicle cannot be inspected, if the warranty record cannot be verified, if maintenance history is inadequate, or if OPTiX reasonably determines the issue was caused by an exclusion listed in this Warranty Statement.

9. Transfer

This warranty applies to the registered vehicle and warranty serial number.

Transfer to a new owner is not automatic. OPTiX Nano Technologies may allow transfer at its discretion if the warranty record, vehicle VIN, coating condition, and maintenance history are satisfactory.

10. Warranty Start Date

The warranty starts from the application date recorded in the OPTiX warranty registration system.

The warranty does not restart after inspection, maintenance, repair, reapplication to a small area, sale of the vehicle, or transfer of ownership.

11. Important Statement

OPTiX OP-GQP Ceramic Coating is designed to assist with surface protection and maintenance. It does not stop normal vehicle wear, poor washing damage, scratches, stone chips, chemical etching, environmental staining, or damage caused by neglect.

The warranty is based on the coating being correctly applied, correctly maintained, and not damaged or removed by outside causes.
