December 2025 image updates

Why You’ll Start Seeing AI-Enhanced Images on Our Website

We want to be open about a small but important change in how images are created and displayed on the Optix website.

As of December 2025, some of the product images you see on our site now involve AI-assisted editing. We’re not hiding that, and we think it’s important to explain exactly what that means—and what it doesn’t.

How We Did It Before

Traditionally, all of our images were created the old-fashioned way:

  • Physical products
  • Real photography
  • Careful lighting setups
  • Then edited in standard photo-editing software

Anyone who’s done product photography knows how much lighting, reflections, shadows, and angles affect the final result. A great photo often depended more on the lighting setup than the product itself.

This method worked—and it still does—but it’s time-consuming and limits how many variations or ideas we can explore.

How We Do It Now

Today, our workflow looks like this:

  1. Real products are still photographed first
  2. Those photos are then edited, enhanced, and refined using AI tools
  3. We use AI to explore:
    • Different compositions
    • Cleaner backgrounds
    • Improved clarity
    • Alternate visual layouts

  4. We then manually tweak and refine until the image matches our intent

So while AI is involved, it’s not replacing real products or real photography—it’s helping us build on them.

Why We Chose This Approach

Using AI allows us to:

  • Update imagery faster
  • Create clearer, more consistent visuals
  • Experiment with layouts before committing to final designs
  • Improve presentation without reshooting every product

It also lets us adapt images for different platforms like the website, social media, and promotional material more efficiently.

Full Transparency (This Part Matters)

Because AI isn’t perfect, there may be small visual differences between images and real-world packaging, such as:

  • Minor label spacing
  • Slight variations in bottle shape
  • Subtle differences in proportions or textures

These differences do not change the product itself.

The formula, performance, and purpose remain exactly the same.

We believe honesty is more important than pretending everything is pixel-perfect.

Why We’re Telling You

We’re not trying to pass AI imagery off as something it isn’t.

This page exists so customers know:

  • AI is being used
  • Why it’s being used
  • What to expect when viewing images

If anything, we see this as part of doing business transparently in a modern world.

The Bottom Line

AI is simply a tool—just like cameras, lighting, and editing software have always been.

We still care deeply about:

  • Accuracy
  • Presentation
  • Real-world results

And we’ll continue refining both our products and how they’re presented as technology evolves.

If you ever have questions about a product, an image, or what you’re seeing online, we’re always happy to explain.
