Sand with 800 for a fair while by hand or drill using 3inch discs on a drill do this until the pad becomes almost useless Repeat with 1500 then repeat with 3000 Buff the 3000 or 5000 sanding marks out with very coarse cutting compound on a heavy cut foam or wool pad.
Wash and dry area. Spray a single pack or 2 pack clear coat.
Other things you might need,
- Hand gripper for 3inch / 75mm sabding discs are a handy tool
- Water bottles with water for sanding
- Drill to attach a 3inch hook and loop backing plate to attach sanding discs
- DA 75mm polisher is best as rotary tools like a drill cab easily melt the plastic lens
- Masking tape is very important because many users burn though the paint around the headlights
