We’re looking ahead to 2027, with plans for OPTiX Nano detailing training and classes to be held by Michael Rothhaus.

This is an early announcement of what’s being planned. Dates, venues, course content, pricing and booking information will be announced as arrangements are finalised.

Better detailing starts with understanding the job

Good detailing is about more than following a product list or repeating the same process on every vehicle. It means understanding the surface in front of you, the result you want to achieve, and the work needed to get there.

That is the thinking behind this next chapter for OPTiX Nano: building knowledge and confidence, not simply adding more steps to a job.

The right process, not the biggest stage count

Paint correction is a good example. A single-stage polish can be the right choice for one vehicle, while another may need cutting and refining. More stages do not automatically mean a better job. Paint condition, the desired finish, safe limits and the available budget all matter.

For DIY enthusiasts, time is only part of the equation. Skills, knowledge, preparation and knowing when to stop matter too. For detailers, being able to explain the chosen process helps customers understand what they are paying for and what result is realistic.

These are principles we want to bring into the conversation around our 2027 training plans. The specific lessons and class formats will be confirmed separately; this announcement is not a final course syllabus.
