OPTiX NANO PPF aftercare important notes
Do Not Wash the Vehicle within 72 Hours After Installation
Avoid washing the car during this period, as the moisture between the vehicle’s surface and the film is still evaporating, and the film has not fully adhered to the surface.
Keep the Surface Clean
Contaminants left on the film can eventually dull its appearance. Wipe off fuel spills immediately, and, if possible, apply a wax or ceramic coating to the PPF surface. Ensure that any coatings used do not contain corrosive elements, as they could damage the film and affect its self-healing properties.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals
The use of detailing products with corrosive or abrasive chemicals will damage or reduce the efficacy of the PPF. Avoid using tar and bug removers, degreasers, or other harmful products.
Remove Bird Droppings, Bug Splatter, etc., Immediately
Bird droppings, bug splatter, tree sap, and other acidic contaminants should not remain on the film for long periods, as they can degrade the PPF and reduce its shine. Soften tough contaminants like tree sap by soaking them with hot, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not use rough scrubbing tools or abrasive materials, as this could cause damage to the self-healing top coat.
Protect the Vehicle from Direct Sunlight
Whenever possible, store your wrapped vehicle in an enclosed, shaded area or under a cover. Proper storage helps protect the film from excessive heat and UV exposure.
Hand Washing is Recommended
Hand washing is the best option for maintaining your vehicle. If you must use a car wash, avoid high-pressure water sources near the edges of the film, as this can cause lifting or damage.
