Swirl-Free Finish with UTOPIA Ultra Fine

OPTiX UTOPIA Ultra Fine is the finishing stage in the OPTiX 2-stage polishing system.

Where UTOPIA Cutting Compound is used for defect removal, UTOPIA Ultra Fine is used for final gloss, clarity and refinement.

It is especially useful on soft paint, dark colours, piano black trims and glossy plastics where small haze, micro-marring or dullness can show easily.

What is UTOPIA Ultra Fine used for?

UTOPIA Ultra Fine is used when the paint or glossy surface needs final refinement rather than heavy cutting.

It is best suited for:

• Final polishing after compounding

• Removing light haze after cutting

It is not designed to be the heavy cutting stage. If the paint has deeper swirls, oxidation or sanding marks, start with UTOPIA Cutting Compound first.

Why Ultra Fine is useful on piano black and plastics

Piano black trims and glossy plastics can mark easily.

They often show fine scratches, wipe marks and haze more obviously than normal painted panels. A heavy compound can be too aggressive if used incorrectly, so a very fine finishing polish is usually the safer option.

UTOPIA Ultra Fine is useful where the goal is to improve clarity without chasing heavy correction.

Always test first in a small area, especially on interior gloss trims, soft plastics or delicate surfaces.

Orange Slim Line Foam Pad — one-step light finish

The Orange Slim Line Foam Pad can be used with UTOPIA Ultra Fine when a very light cut and finish is needed.

This is useful when the surface needs more bite than a finishing pad, but not enough to justify a cutting compound.

Best for: very light correction, one-step finishing and minor haze removal.

White Slim Line Foam Pad — fine polishing

The White Slim Line Foam Pad is the safer fine polishing option with Ultra Fine.

Use this when the goal is clearer gloss, soft paint refinement and improved finish after cutting.

Best for: fine polishing, dark paint, soft paint and final clarity.

Black Slim Line Foam Pad — maximum gloss

The Black Slim Line Foam Pad is the ultra fine finishing pad.

Use it when you are chasing the cleanest final gloss from UTOPIA Ultra Fine with minimal cut.

Best for: maximum gloss, final jewelling-style finish, piano black trims and very fine refinement.

Before ceramic coating

UTOPIA Ultra Fine is a good final polishing step before applying ceramic coating, but polishing oils and residue must be removed properly before coating.

After polishing, complete a proper wipe-down before applying coatings such as OPTiX OP888, OPTiX FMJ Graphene or professional systems such as OPTiX OP1-G.

A coating should go over clean, properly prepared paint — not polishing residue.

Ultra Fine is a 250ml finishing polish

UTOPIA Ultra Fine is supplied as a 250ml finishing polish.

Because it is used for refinement rather than heavy cutting, a small amount can go a long way when used correctly.
