OP888 is the forgiving, controlled coating in the OPTiX range, but it still requires clean preparation, suitable conditions and careful inspection. The kit supplies application items; it does not replace washing, decontamination, paint correction or coating-preparation products that the vehicle may need.
Before Application
Wash the vehicle thoroughly.
Remove chemical and bonded contamination as required.
Inspect the paint under proper lighting.
Correct or polish the paint where the desired finish requires it.
Remove residue and oils with a suitable coating-preparation product.
Make sure the vehicle, gaps and edges are completely dry.

Application Checklist
Work indoors or in a protected area, out of direct sun.
Make sure the surface is cool, clean and dry.
Prepare clean lighting, applicators and removal towels before opening the bottle.
Apply and level in manageable sections according to the current OP888 directions.
Inspect each section from several angles for remaining residue or high spots.
Allow the coating to cure for the stated period before water or unsuitable chemical exposure.
Realistic Protection
OP888 supports surface protection, chemical resistance, gloss and easier maintenance when it is applied to properly prepared paint. It does not make paint scratch-proof, stone-chip-proof or maintenance-free. Poor washing can still create swirls, water spotting and wear.
Aftercare
Wash with a suitable pH-neutral automotive shampoo, clean microfibre wash media and gentle drying methods. Remove harsh contamination promptly and use compatible OPTiX maintenance products only when the job calls for them.
